The Inpatient Rehabilitation Center at Northwest Texas Healthcare System helps people return them to their highest level of independence after a debilitating illness or injury. A team of highly-trained professionals are available to assist with a patient's recovery, including physical, emotional and social needs. As people continue their recovery, individualized treatment plans are developed to help each person achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Support for Illness and Injury

The 24-bed rehabilitation unit is located on the fifth floor of Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, Texas. Patients have private rooms with private full bathrooms, each medically equipped to help ensure safety. Our rehabilitation center has specialized programs for:

• Multiple trauma
• Neurological disorders

• Stroke
• Other disabling conditions

Our team consists of a medical director, program director, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, physical therapists, nurses, social workers, dieticians and respiratory therapists.
